Nick Forrest
Born and raised on Cape Breton Island, where he spent his early childhood jigging for cod fish from a wooden dory with his grandparents and then progressing to spin fishing for brookies, and learning to fly fish for salmon on the Margaree River with his stepdad. ( He did more swimming than fishing) His stepdad would often let him skip school to go fishing and this became a tradition he has passed down to his son. He has spent the last 10 years fishing the Bow River and calling it home while honing his fly fishing skills. He looks forward to you trusting him with your trip of a lifetime.

Mike Ritsco
Mike Ritsco is a seasoned fly-fishing guide based in Calgary, Alberta, with a lifelong connection to the Bow River. At 48, he brings nearly four decades of on-water experience to every guided trip. His journey began at age 9, shortly after his family moved to Calgary. By his early teens, he was hooked on fly fishing—and like many, he learned through trial and error and the help of a few good mentors.
Today, Mike guides from a drift boat on the lower Bow River, sharing that knowledge and passion with his clients. As a member of the Angling Outfitter & Guide Association of Alberta (AOGAA), he's committed to professionalism, conservation, and creating memorable days on the water— his main quarry: the Bow's wild and powerful rainbow and brown trout.
Off the river, Mike's love for the outdoors doesn't stop. He's an avid adventure motorcyclist, hiker, and outdoor photographer—always chasing the next great view or wild moment worth capturing.
Whether you're a beginner picking up a fly rod for the first time or a seasoned angler chasing your personal best, Mike's calm guidance, deep knowledge of the river, and genuine passion for fly fishing make him a trusted companion on the Bow.
